4 D - Posture and Spinal Column Measurement
The absolute precise analysis and measurement of the spinal column and the entire skeleton is done completely without radiation. The picture of a 4 D-measurement is similar to a radiograph, the differences in postures of the patients between the pictures are significant. This method enables a sequence of up to 24 pictures per second and by determining the average posture the accuracy and clinical informational value can be improved. Therefore the complete procedure lasts only a few seconds. |
Precise and quick analysis, without contact or radiationThe constant development of clinical diagnostics has brought up a new technology, called the 4D-analysis. The 4D-analysis allows us to diagnose postural deformity, unbalancing, caused by blockades, changes in length of legs, caused by the integration of an artificial hip-joint, the level of deformation of the spinal column and many other complaints quickly and certainly. This is done by a projection of light, making a radiograph redundant. This technological very precise measurement enables the depiction of form and location of e.g. the spinal column or the knee-joints. Defective positions and postural deformity can be detected. The measurement of the posture while standing usually takes about 30 to 60 seconds to capture the coordinative abilities and muscular deficiencies. Due to the volume measurement the formetric 4D is able to analyze the complete body and the entire skeleton with up to 10.000 measuring points and a sequence of about 24 pictures per second. Typically the pictures are taken during the use of steppers or treadmills. Further development, based on the same method, brought up the analysis of foot print and gait as well as the examination of balance, which is useful for patients who suffer from severe dizziness. |
These exact results make it possible for us to develop individual and concerted therapy methods, to secure an easy way of life for our patients. For further information or to arrange an appointment, please contact our surgery staff. |
